Intensely Dutch
Image, abstraction and the word, post-war and beyond 展出了荷兰诸多画家在后战争年代的抽象派,表现派主义作品,包括了二战后的艺术作品,其中有一短暂但是独创性的CoBrA,其名来自Copenhagen,Brussel 和Amsterdam 的画家在1949年由Dutch - Karel Appel, Constant, Corneille and Lucebert组成的.

The attitude that nature is
chaotic and that the artist puts order into it is a very absurd point
of view, I think. All that we can hope for is to put some order into
ourselves. |

During his twelve years in Germany he not only performed extensively on the continent and in England but also undertook three extensive Australian tours. He has been guest artist with Synergy, Flederman, the Song Company and the Australia Ensemble and has toured with the Seymour Group. He has also made regular appearances at the Sydney Spring Festival of New Music. At the 2003 Sydney Symphony Contemporary Music Festival he was soloist with Natalia Ricci in the first Sydney performance of the Bartók Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra and in 2004 was again one of the SSO's featured concerto soloists. He was a founding member of both Symeron and the eclectic collective and partners he has appeared with include Wanda Wilkomirska, Josephine Allan, Christopher Latham, David Pereira, Gerard Willems, and Carl Vine. His repertoire ranges from Bach to Carter and includes contemporary Australian, European and American works, many of which he commissioned and premiered.
Since 1996 he has been lecturer in piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and his recordings of repertoire ranging from Mozart to Smalley have been released on Tall Poppies, CSM, Continuum and ABC Classics labels.
